　この作品で、大正4年大演習時に「矢矧」を含む一部の艦艇（戦艦「榛名」・「攝津」他）に試験的に施された迷彩を、限られた資料を基に再現しました。この仕様は、大演習終了後すぐに元に戻されてしまったため、一般的にほとんど知られていませんが、独特の迷彩から生み出される日本艦らしからぬその雰囲気に、私は大いに魅力を感じています。令和2年9月6日に矢作神社で斎行された「防護巡洋艦矢矧艦内神社奉斎100年慰霊顕彰祭」で、本作品の複製画が奉納されました。

This work depicts her with the test camouflage that was adopted on some of the ships (such as the battleship Haruna as well as the Yahagi) during the Naval Grand Exercise of 1915, based on limited materials. Since this specification was reverted soon after the end of the Great Exercise, it is hardly known to the general public, but the unique camouflage creates a very interesting atmosphere that is not typical of Japanese warships.
On September 6, 2020, a reproduction of this work was dedicated at the 100th anniversary of the shipboard shrine of the protected cruiser Yahagi Memorial Ceremony held at Yahagi Shrine.
